Funky tastes fusion was born out of the passion for good, real African food by Husband and Wife duo Iyiola and Funke Madamidola. This belief led to them realising their dream of opening their own Restaurant in Cardiff. Funky Tastes Fusion was opened in October 2022 and will mark a first year anniversary in October 2023.
Funke and Iyiola the proprietors are Finance and Accounting graduates, while Iyiola worked with Unilever Nigeria Plc Funke spent time with Total Nigeria Plc before they both decided to work in the Care Industry in the United Kingdom for over a decade. This experience in customer care has proved invaluable in the day to day running of the restaurant and provided them with the basics for excellent customer service, a prerequisite which is necessary for the industry and is prevalent in the service provided to customers at Funky Tastes Fusion.The mission is to provide authentic home cooked African cuisine to those who are familiar with it and also to make it a very pleasurable experience to those who are not familiar with African cuisine and come across it for the first time. The origin of the cuisine comes from a blend of West African recipes which is well coordinated with their knowledge and heritage of African food. If you ever want to have proper quality home cooked food Funky Tastes Fusion is the best place to come to, the atmosphere is very relaxed, conducive and family friendly.
